How long have you been with FBS Hörmann?
I started with Fen-Bay back in 2015 so this will be my 8th year with the company.
Why did you choose to work at FBS Hörmann and what is your favourite part about working here?
I applied for the job when I was looking for a change of direction and I enjoy working with the team we have.
What position did you join the company as and what position/job title do you hold now?
I started as a sales administrator, but I have been an estimator, sales office manager and I am now a key account manager.
Has your role changed since you’ve been here, and have you had any promotions during your time working with FBS? If so, please give details.
As the company has grown and developed, I have had a few different roles to adapt to the change in the business needs.
What does a normal day look like?
Most days are spent in the office, tracking jobs through for our key customers to make sure we are getting repairs completed on time to leave sites operational. I also enjoy getting out to sites to meet the customers and offer solutions for any issues they are having on site.
What skills or attributes do you need to be good at your job?
You need to be good at multi-tasking and be organised to keep track of multiple jobs throughout the business.
What have been your proudest moments at FBS Hörmann?
When we moved to our new premises back in 2018 it really showed how the company was evolving.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to work in a similar role to yours?
Give it a try, there is nothing you can’t achieve through hard work.
What are your main responsibilities?
I look after FBS Hörmann key account customers to track their live orders, monitor their spend on assets in the estates and provide data and advise on capital replacement plans.
I deal with any escalations on jobs that have issues and work with all departments to ensure our customers’ needs are met.
Do you feel there is opportunity for growth and development within the business?
With all the growth in the company there are opportunities for employees who are looking to develop their career.
Have you worked on any interesting projects?
I enjoy working on both new build and re-development projects and it’s great to get out and see the end result in the field.
How to you unwind after a busy day?
I enjoy spending time with my family.
